What producers and clients say
Trusted with the room
From the people who run Australia’s biggest live TV shows and events.
“I’ve worked with Dave Eastgate for close to 20 years across numerous television productions, and over that time we’ve become close friends. Dave has an exceptional ability to connect with people from all walks of life, from studio audiences to celebrity judges to production teams and crews. He brings energy, authenticity and calmness under pressure to every show.
Large ‘live’ television productions like Australia’s Got Talent are often pre-recorded, requiring the crew to reset the stage between acts. There can also be unexpected and lengthy delays due to technical difficulties.
Managing, entertaining and energising audiences ranging from hundreds to thousands of people for periods ranging from four to twelve hours is one of the hardest and most important jobs on a live television floor. And it’s a job that Dave has always excelled at.
He even MC’d my wedding, such is my regard for his work. I would have no hesitation recommending him as a corporate MC or event host.”
“Dave Eastgate recently hosted our FanLand event during NRL’s Magic Round at The Star Brisbane.
Throughout the event, Dave hosted competitions, interviewed former players, presented pieces to camera and entertained fans between games, maintaining the energy, excitement and momentum of the event.
Dave’s interviews with former players were both insightful and witty, drawing out stories, banter and perspectives that resonated strongly with the fans in attendance.
Dave was reliable, easy to work with and an asset to the broader event team. A particular highlight was the mullet competition with rugby league legend Alfie Langer, which was hilarious and perfectly captured the fun spirit of the event.
We can’t wait to work with Dave again in the future.”
“I’ve known Dave Eastgate since we first worked together on Australia’s Got Talent and multiple shows since then. We’ve even shared the screen together as actors on Channel Ten’s comedy series Street Smart and ABC’s Preppers, and when he was a guest on Channel Seven’s live comedy series Slideshow, where actors and comedians were forced to improvise scenes on a stage that gradually tilted until it was almost vertical. Dave was hilarious!
Live TV is hectic and unpredictable, so a good warm-up guy is absolutely essential. I’ve seen Dave fill for over 90 minutes multiple times and make it look effortless.
Quite simply, he’s the best in the business!”
“I’ve worked with Dave Eastgate on Australia’s Got Talent and we’re about to go into our fifth season of Australian Idol together.
Dave is one of the hardest-working men in show business and has the rare ability to push the boundaries with his cheeky wit without ever stepping over the line.
Any event would be lucky to have him.”
“He’s the funniest f***er I know!
I love him!”
